Every year, Europe funds brilliant AI research that never reaches the people it was meant to serve. It gets written up, peer-reviewed, presented — and then it sits in a PDF. At Novelcore, closing that gap is the whole point of what we do. Today we're launching a new website that finally shows it properly.
This is the first post on our new news page, so here's a short tour of what you'll find, and why we built it the way we did.
Novelcore is a team of 30+ researchers and engineers in Athens. We work across a single pipeline: we research inside European consortiums, we engineer the hard parts — knowledge graphs, machine learning, explainable AI — and we ship the results as products that people actually use. No prototypes left on a shelf.
The new site is organised around that idea. Instead of a list of services, it follows the work from research to production, and lets you go as deep as you want.
Projects — Our research portfolio, in one place for the first time. There are 19 projects across Horizon Europe, EU4Health, the Internal Security Fund, the EIT HEI Initiative and Greece 2.0. They cover democracy and eGov, health, climate, education, heritage, security, IoT, agriculture and entrepreneurship. You can filter by domain. Each project page explains what the consortium is trying to achieve and, more importantly, what our role in it is — including AIXPERT, which we coordinate.
Products — Two products that came out of that research and now run in production:
Who we are — What it's like to work here, from the surface down to the core. Our people publish in academic journals and ship production systems — often the same person, working on the same problem. We call it the dual byline.
News — You're reading it. This is where we'll share project milestones, product updates, papers and the occasional behind-the-scenes look at how we work.
A website about trustworthy technology should respect the people using it. So a few things are built in from day one:
Our Horizon Europe projects are living labs, where ideas meet real institutions and real citizens, and there's a lot happening in them. In the coming months we'll use this space to share results from those projects, walk through how dlbrt. and KAOS evolve, and introduce some of the people behind the work.
If you're a public institution, a research partner or an engineer who wants their name in the journal and the changelog, we'd love to hear from you. Get in touch or write to us at info@novelcore.eu.
Welcome to the new Novelcore.
