Technical Coordinator
As Technical Coordinator we lead the GENeCITY reference architecture and the AI Scenario Engine, which combines RAG and AI agents to translate climate policies into measurable local goals and what-if scenarios. We also build the urban-policy knowledge graph and the infrastructure that orchestrates AI with a minimal environmental footprint.
Cities are at the front line of Europe's climate-neutrality goals, but their data sits in siloed systems that lack quality, explainability and trust. Most local digital twins don't use real-time data or scalable architectures. Limited public understanding of the forces shaping cities keeps citizens out of climate policymaking.
GENeCITY federates city digital twins with explainable AI, using an AI Scenario Engine that turns policies and legal texts into time-bound goals. It then generates what-if forecasts and participatory backcasting scenarios on heat stress, air pollution, mobility and urban greening. It is piloted in Athens, Riga, Murcia, Amersfoort and Skellefteå, with nine replicator cities. We architect the platform and build the scenario engine and its policy knowledge graph.
